This site is devoted to our project called "The Peoples Project" and Bugs. We set out to obtain flags from all U. S. States and territories for free. The flags were donated by people from those states. We were successful in receiving flags from half of the States. What we did not get were purchased. This site showcases our work. All the flags were assembled in a stadium of popsicle sticks and stored in a box for protection.Welcome to our site. If you have been here before, Welcome Back!
We hope that you liked what you saw. We thank you for visiting.
We are a typical family of six residing in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
We are a family of educators' and quick thinkers, in recreation and the
environment. Our family strongly believes in education and hard work, respect
for others and the law. We share various interests in Soccer, Volleyball,
Cheer-leading, Leadership, the outdoors, such as camping, hiking, Bugs, or
Bug Exterminating and volunteerism to name a few.
We have a few hobbies such as automotive repairs, wood working, knitting,
rocketry-(kids’ stuff), home repair and gardening and/or just doing nothing.
Some members of our family play and officiate soccer. Our dad played soccer
before becoming a referee. Our son is the only one active in soccer at the
moment as a player. He also plays, or dabbles in basketball.
The girls' are active in Volleyball. Two are college graduates. One is almost
there. Two played club and high school volleyball while the oldest was a
cheerleader in high school. We are blessed because they are all outstanding and
hard working citizens. We are proud of all of them.
We all enjoy the outdoors and various outdoor activities such as bicycling,
camping and hiking, sledding. Our dad does not care much about camping. He may
be scared of bears and bugs. We may never know.
Our family completed a flag project is showcased here. We called it the
"peoples' project". It was also a show that there are still nice and
helpful people left here on the planet. It became a challenge when people told
us it couldn’t be done. No one will send their state flags to you freely. The
challenge was to quiet our critics, the nay-Sayers.
We attempted to collect and
assemble, in one small space (a box measuring 20 inches X 20 inches X 12
inches) flags from all U.S States' and U.S. territories. It was a
voluntary project that relied on donations, or the goodness of the people in
those States'. We received flags from about 30 States. The rest of the flags
were purchased.
We thank everyone that responded in any shape or form during this process. This
project took about three months to complete. We sent pictures of our completed
work to those that assisted us or those that provided flags and/or other items
unique to their respective States. I am proud to announce that it was a
SUCCESS. The flags now have a home at one of the City of Las Vegas recreation center. OOoops, the name
escapes me at this time. Sorry.
Please note: If your state flag, or your contribution is not shown here please let us know
Our next project may be to collect flags from as many countries as possible. What do you think?
